  • Elk & Bison Prairie
  • Golden Pond Planetarium & Observatory
  • Golden Pond Target Range
  • Golden Pond Visitor Center
  • Hematite Lake, Trail, and Picnic Area
  • Hillman Heritage Trails
  • Homeplace 1850s Working Farm
  • Moss Creek Day Use Area
  • North Welcome Station
  • South Welcome Station
  • Turkey Bay OHV Area
  • Woodlands Nature Station
  • Wranglers Day Use
  • Star Camp Picnic Area is CLOSED due to storm damage

Campgrounds Closed Include:

  • Birmingham Ferry Campground (boat ramp and bank fishing remain open)
  • Boswell Landing Campground (boat ramp and bank fishing remain open)
  • Colson Hollow Group Camping Area
  • Cravens Bay Campground  (boat ramp remains open)
  • Demumbers Bay Camping Area (boat ramp remains open)
  • Energy Lake Campground
  • Fenton Day Use and Campground (boat ramp and trailheads remain open)
  • Gatlin Point Campground
  • Ginger Bay Camping Area
  • Hillman Ferry Campground
  • Kuttawa Landing Camping Area
  • Neville Bay Camping Area (boat ramp remains open)
  • Nickell Branch Campground
  • Piney Campground
  • Pisgah Point Camping Area
  • Redd Hollow Campground
  • Smith Bay Campground
  • Sugar Bay Camping Area

To protect public health and safety, all visitors are encouraged to:

  • Avoid visiting the recreation area if you are sick and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Take your trash with you when you leave. Trash overflowing the receptacles becomes litter and can be harmful to wildlife.
  • Please make arrangements to use the restroom before or after your visit to the recreation area. Unmanaged waste creates a health hazard for our employees and for other visitors.
  • If an area is crowded, please search for a less occupied location. Also consider avoiding the recreation area during high-use periods.
