Located just off US 68/KY 80 on Gun Range Road in Land Between The Lakes is the Golden Pond Target Range. It is free of charge and is open dawn to dusk on a first-come, first-served basis (Note: The range is closed 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every Wednesday for cleaning)
The range is available for rifle, pistol and archery shooters and has capacity for multiple parties. You'll need to bring your own targets and explosive targets are not permitted.
Recent improvements to the Golden Pond Target Range include:
- Two ranges for simultaneous shooting
- 175-yard rifle range containing six shooting benches
- 50-yard pistol range containing four shooting benches
- Archery practice range
- Field archery range trail
- ADA compliant paths to shooting benches and to backstop
Range rules and regulations are posted at the site. Some of which include:
- Targets are not provided.
- Possession of alcohol is not permitted.
- No explosive targets.
- Read Supervisors Orders for information about firearms.
